Comprehensive upgrade of the energy systems at the Dan Jerusalem Hotel, carried out in coordination with the Light Rail project and in compliance with the hotel’s environmental and future infrastructure requirements.

Engineering Planning & Coordination – Kahana Engineers

Design of a new energy infrastructure layout adapted to land reallocation for the Light Rail Planning the dismantling and replacement of two existing diesel tanks, each with a capacity of 40,000 litres Design and installation of a new 23,000-liter diesel tank, including safety components, control systems, and protections Integration of the new tanks with the hotel’s main generator system Replacement of the existing diesel-based heating system with advanced heat pump systems, for reduced emissions and improved energy efficiency Preparation of full design documentation and regulatory filings to obtain final approval from the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure

Project Management & Supervision

Planning and execution coordination with Light Rail authorities, municipal departments, and infrastructure bodies. Ongoing site supervision for dismantling, installation, connection, and integration with existing systems, Daily coordination with suppliers, consultants, and subcontractors. Close monitoring of schedule, budget, and quality control throughout all project stages. Direct liaison with the Ministry of Energy until final operational approval was granted. The project was successfully completed in full compliance with all relevant standards, delivering a modern, reliable, and environmentally friendly energy infrastructure.
